    Ecobuild 2015

    We have an interest in the development of new Eco policies and innovations at Bionics. 

    Having recently received enquiries for sustainable housing developments we were keen to visit Ecobuild to learn more about the industry and listen to BIM talks addressing key issues in the sector.

    We attended the Excel Exhibition Centre where talks where being hosted in the Designing Better Buildings & BIM theatres. Topics addressed energy management systems & performance management using BIM, with a view to intelligently formulate energy optimising strategies based on data findings.

    Middle East Rail 2015

    Our specialist technology division, The Bionic Eye, will be exhibiting and speaking at this years Middle East Rail Expo in Dubai.

    Middle East Rail is to be held over the 17th and 18th March at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Bionic Eye will be hosting a talk titled UAV Mounted Mobile Mapping with LiDAR during the speaker slot for Survey Grade UAV based LiDAR - Joining The Dots. The talk will be taking place on Wednesday 18 March at 3pm in the Great Britain Pavilion, located in front of the VIP Area by the halls main entrance.

    UAVs & LiDAR:

    We launched The Bionic Eye, our remote vehicle technology solutions division, and learnt that the uses for UAVs are limitless.

    They are being used in construction and rail for monitoring, surveying and maintenance and just about any other environment you can think of that is looking to overcome hurdles relating to remote access without restriction, interactive real time data, and a reduction in human risk inherent in dangerous access zones. Read how we used UAVs for Kier's maintenance report.
