Bionics supports revolutionary healthcare framework nominated for CN Innovation Award
ProCure21+ (P21+) NHS initiative has, for the 2nd year running, been nominated to receive an award in Innovation for the upcoming annual Construction News Excellence Awards in the South–East England & London category.
Our multimedia & graphics team enjoyed working with Balfour Beatty to identify the best platform to ensure the most effective presentation of their reconfigurable room design and layout.
A main part of the presentation for ProCure21+ involved consolidating all the different aspects of the scheme into a visually compelling and interactive iPad application. The app, ProCure21+, is available to the public on iTunes App store and starts off as an interactive menu with an overview of the various room configurations, followed by an introductory video and a digital flick-through brochure detailing graphics and cost analysis. The app also features a unique view of each of the four room types currently on offer; Single and Multi bed Acute Bedrooms, Mental Health Bedrooms and Consultant/Examination Rooms, with an in-depth look at their design and function through 'virtual tour' panoramic imagery - allowing the audience to navigate around each room and to move between each suite.
The bid presentation was further enriched by a 3D printed model of the preferred Single and Multi Bed Acute bedrooms. This provided a tangible element to the presentation and gave the audience a real sense of scale and enabled them to experience the design/layout in their hands.
Further to their nomination in Innovation, Procure21+ were earlier this month announced as joint winners of the Design in Mental Health Service User Experience Award for their Mental Health Room design.
